The Democratic Freedom Caucus (DFC) is a progressive, pro-freedom caucus, which promotes the values which the United States Democratic Party was founded upon: individual liberty, constitutional democracy, and social responsibility.
The DFC supports the Bill of Rights, which describes what is meant by individual liberty and constitutional limits on government.
The DFC advocates progressive, freedom-oriented policies, which emphasize:
- Promoting the public interest rather than favoritism to special interests
- Building-in incentives for improving the quality and efficiency of public services
- Upholding civil liberties [1]
The purpose of the Freedom Democrats Wiki is to promote the DFC specifically and the principles of Freedom Democrats in general at the national, state, county, and local levels.
